Yesterday we learned how the charr came into being, thanks to Katy Hargrove and the development team we escaped having trolls or orcs as the main baddie for Guild Wars. Beyond Guild Wars the team had to worry about how to distinguish females from males, as you can see above the female counterpart of charr society is streamlined and ready to strike.

Earlier today we were treated to the new flyover video for the charr homelands along with plenty of tail wagging (video after the split). No, seriously, the charr tail wagging is a little excessive. It seems as thought someone decided cats are constantly swishing about, which I disagree with but I can understand the constant loop I suppose. The flyover certainly gives the impression that these are a people that forge everything to make everything they need.  The Black Citadel is more warmachine than city, but we are told that it holds headquarters for each legion, offices of tribunes and the war council seat of the people. I can’t wait to run around and see all there is to the charr landscape.

We were also treated to the newly updated charr racial page on GuildWars2.com which offers up a great summary of history and lore surrounding the legions. There’s also some great wallpapers and screenshots to be seen over on the ArenaNet blog.
