GW2 will stabilize the world economy, protect and preserve the environment, end global warming, create an endless resource of clean energy, defeat fascism and dictatorships, unify the world’s governments, defend free speech and personal freedoms, save humanity from the rise of the machines, preserve the galaxy from the destruction of the reapers, bring balance to the “force,” AND cook a perfectly poached egg EVERY SINGLE TIME!!!!

Seriously though… if you’re not excited about GW2, then you are either a: just not paying attention, and are not yet aware of the mind-boggling number of ways this game is SO MUCH better than ANYTHING else in the MMO genre,
or b: a complete waste of oxygen with the fine motor skills and cognitive abilities of a paraplegic, brain trauma victim, with a personal nurse to wipe the drool off your chin while you play video games by slamming your forehead on a keyboard… repeatedly…

Races should play differently for the same reason classes should play differently.

Mainly, to play differently! Variety is the spice of life!

Should every class have the same abilities, strengths, weaknesses, and play the same? Should all classes be able to tank, or heal, etc? Should all classes equip the same gear? Of course not, because that would eliminate the differentiation of different classes, and thus eliminate altogether the need for different classes. The only differences between characters would be cosmetic. Blah!

The same reasoning can be applied to races.

This is not to say certain races shouldn’t be able to play certain classes effectively, but rather that certain races could play certain classes effectively in different ways. A brutal troll style, or a finesse elvish style, or a sneaky haffling style, etc. Again, variety is the spice of life!
