Lion’s Arch Report

Celeste:

Overflowing issues
time alert/clock
cancelling skills while in mid-cast
exploring for levels in-between after getting all the hearts filled and trying to move on
pet peeve: a section of Lion’s Arch was blocked off
highly intuitive, I’ll remember the key bindings until the next weekend probably
some events would only trigger if there were at least 3 players in the vicinity, could be a problem later
ascalon catacombs or some other dungeon would’ve been really nice to see more than the first room :P

Wow. Guys, I usually love your shows, but you were so negative in this episode. It seemed like the only positive thing you had to say was that nothing you experienced was “game breaking.” But then you both went on to only talk about what you didn’t like. I’m so sorry you had such a lousy time.

I didn’t realize we were that negative! I can’t speak for Celeste, but I know that I had a great time in the beta! There were tons and tons of fun things to do, the combat was awesome, and my engineer’s flamethrower was the bomb!

No, literally. I could launch a bomb of plasma at enemies with the flamethrower. :)

There were lots of things that we hope they fix, and we wanted to mention those as I’m sure that they annoyed a lot of other people as well. Maybe we should have spent more time on positive stuff too….

Yeah, I would have been interested to hear what you liked about the game — besides the flamethrower! :) If I hadn’t played the beta and only listened to this show I wouldn’t go near Guild Wars 2. As it is I’ve never had so much fun in an MMO! I was thoroughly impressed with the game, so I’m having a hard time relating to your experience. I think your criticisms are valid, but maybe next time we could hear about what you think they did right.

I didn’t get the feeling that you guys were negative. Celeste seeming pretty stoked while Chris, giddy having used a flamethrower, made with laugh with his childlike excitement.
