You got a new logo? It changed on my iTunes feed.

I've been wracking my brain for new topics to suggest, but nothing's coming. I must be part of the vast silent (and uncreative) horde of fans.

I came up with a couple reasons MMO advertisers portray healers and mages as women that I think you touched on:

1. Sex appeal. They want to put a sexy woman on the advertisement art, so she needs to dress the part. They use healers and mages because those are the skimpiest costumes.
2. Balance. They want to show a melee fighter and a magic user in the ad. One carries a big weapon and shield and the other carries a wand. They come to the simple conclusion that the big burly guy gets the shield and the girl gets the wand. If you give the woman a big shield and the burly guy the wand, it would probably look a little silly.
3. Stereotyping. There are exceptions to every rule, but I'd bet the statistics show that wizards and healers are more popular for women than they are for men, and that warriors are more popular for men than they are for women. Advertising is a competitive business and the advertisers who get employed aren't stupid.
