Guild Wars Reporter Episode 23 – Dyeing For Beta Weekends
Chris and Celeste get off topic this week and attempt to explain how hard it is to go back to the original campaigns with GW2 beckoning. We also discuss the dye system debacle, Asuran colleges, and whether Guild Wars 2 is a sandbox or themepark mmo.

Which Asuran college is “superior?”
That’s a pretty subjective question but I would have to say that the College of Stratics is probably the most vital when it comes to contributions and the overall positive effect on their culture. They’re level headed and cautious because their work affects everyone involved. This, I believe, leads to a positive, fruitful and creative environment that all Asurans may enjoy.
What are relations like between the Asura and the Sylvari?
My impression is that, even now after roughly 20 years of interaction, the relationship between these two races is tenuous and strained. When the Asura encountered the Sylvari some over zealous scientists took liberties with the early emerging Sylvari. These strains are still being observed by new Sylvari as they dream. Even though Asura have become more aware the past wrongdoings may still influence various Sylvari’s reactions.
