The Warhammer delay Syp mentioned occurred back in the days of non-binding pre-orders. If you no longer wanted your copy of Warhammer because you really wanted to play a Dwarven melee DPS and they cut that class, or because you were on vacation the month of the original release date and weren’t free for the new launch window, you could still cancel your pre-order. With today’s binding pre-sales, the only part of the contract that is non-negotiable is that the company has already collected your money.

What Turbine did is probably on the non-evil side of the line, but where is the line drawn, and how do we actually accomplish anything by “fighting” if and when it is crossed?
