Hi Chris. I feel like a complete jerk, but as much as I love the podcasts, im not very fond of getting a 106,5 MB download on 5 different podcast subs. Yes I am following 5 of your podcasts :) Any chance of perhaps keeping them to the more general MMO Reporter? Please dont take this as harsh remarks, because I really love the work you and the team do on these shows, but my phone goes kinda nuts when dowloading this much :) Best Regards Fredrik from Sweden

Hey Fredrik,

You’re not a jerk, and I appreciate your comments. I actually received another email from a listener about the same topic, so you’re obviously not the only one who feels this way.

I’m sure that you (and the other listeners) understand that my goal with putting the podcast out to all of the feeds was to let people who don’t normally listen to MMO Reporter get a look at the cool content from events (PAX/Press Days/etc). I always thought of it from an iTunes/RSS perspective, where people could download the episodes/shows/etc that they wanted from the feed. Obviously from your comment, it’s just too much clutter both for those respective feeds, and for people who listen to more than one show.

I’ll be stopping that as of right now. I am going to look at a couple of different options (in show ads, extra mini-podcast for events that round up what’s being released that week, or something similar. Those are just ideas I’m throwing out there) to share with the other shows/feeds what we’re covering, but I won’t spam your favourite show feeds any more.

Hopefully you’ll forgive me, as I was trying to get content out to everyone, not to spam.

Thanks for answering this concern. I understand that the intent was to make sure that people were aware of the other content available from the different podcasts on the site, but it honestly did feel like spam more than anything else. An in-show ad would be my preferred solution to this, but it’s certainly better than clogging the podcast feeds with content not directly related to the other shows.

I subscribe to the SWTOR feed and I keep getting this other stuff. I don’t want to un-sub and miss a show, if one ever gets released again, but I will if I get something else that is off topic again. I don’t care about Elder Scrolls or whatever new MMO of the week there is.
