Forsaken World has classes like any other RPG does. Your scout/rogue archetype; tanks and healers; casters and magic users; and support roles. It sounds rather boring when it’s put that way. What makes the classes fun are the unique takes on each class and the roles they fill.

For instance, you would expect a Warrior to be a Warrior. In Forsaken World, a Human Warrior will not play like an Elf Warrior. It is the same for the Priest and Assassin classes. Each race has different abilities which allows for different game play.

There are also classes that are race specific. The Stonemen have the only true tanking class in the game. Dwarves have the only true Hunter/Scout class in the game. Though it’s in closed beta, players are already asking for more variety on the classes. I do agree I would like to see a female tanking class. Maybe the female counterpart of Stonemen could show up later?

Instead of talking about the classes myself, I waltzed my Kindred Mage into Freedom Harbor and talked to other players about what they thought of Forsaken World’s classes.
