I *was* going to jump towards wrapping up the guides and then I realized I hadn’t even thought of a whole slew of guides that came to me while I was discussing my upcoming article with my hubby. I thought that I had spoken in depth about guides and reputation, then I went to re-read my articles, all of them. It seems to me that I would touch on the subject and then immediately dismiss it saying it would be in an upcoming guide. Whoops! So without further ado, let us get down and dirty with titles and reputation.
By now you’ve probably noticed that there’s a few screens we haven’t talked about so much; “H,” the Hero panel, is certainly one of them. This really does have some of the most vital information if you’re going to be working on your titles/rep, this will be your main hub for checking on how you’ve progressed as a character. From the first pane you’re able to see how much experience you’ve earned, how many skill points you have available and which Factions you’ve earned points with. Skill points and experience meters are nice but you don’t really know the significance of them until you’ve gotten much deeper into titles and reputation. Faction however is something we can explain in full. If you own the Factions campaign, you’ll have 3 lines for the panel: Balthazar, Kurzick and Luxon.
Overall, there’s something for everyone in this huge update to Guild Wars being dubbed as Embark Beach. Riding close on the heels of the Dervish revamp that seemed to polarize players of that profession, the main theme of this build is based on “improving the quality of life for people that are playing Guild Wars.” For players who feel like all they can do is work on their Hall of Monuments, this kind of update changes the way you feel when you sit down to play the game. Right now it may feel like a chore but later tonight with the exciting revitalization it may start to feel like a game again.
